Cookie Policy

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, work the same way. This page explains which ones we use and why.

Our Websites (kamuspec.com and mykamu.com)

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies on our websites. To understand how our websites are used, we measure visits without cookies:

  • Microsoft Azure Application Insights records which pages are viewed. It is configured not to set cookies.
  • Metricool (mykamu.com only) records the page address, the page you came from, and your screen size, so we can see which of our social media posts bring visitors. It does not set cookies.

Both receive your IP address and browser details, and neither runs if your browser sends a Do Not Track signal. Some pages embed videos played by our video provider’s player, which connects your browser to that provider when the page loads.

The KamuSpec Portal and Sign-In

  • Essential cookies. When you sign in, our identity provider, Clerk, sets cookies that keep you signed in and protect your session. The portal cannot work without them.
  • Payments. Checkout and billing pages are hosted by Stripe, which sets its own cookies to process payments and prevent fraud, under Stripe’s own cookie policy.
  • Local storage. The portal uses your browser’s local storage to remember view settings and to hold a random identifier for this browser, which we use to keep your devices in sync and to recognise the devices used with your account (see our Privacy Policy).

Managing Cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will prevent you from signing in to the portal. Turning on your browser’s Do Not Track setting stops our website analytics from running.
