For Home Inspectors · Built for Texas ProsDesigned for the field, not the desk.
KamuSpec is built mobile-first. Capture once on your phone, and the report drafts itself before you leave the driveway. Scroll through to see each capture mode and what it produces.
Mobile-first, by design.
Every feature ships on the phone first. The desktop is a bonus. Your hands are full at the property.
One-handed at the property
Every screen is reachable with your thumb. The camera, the report, the client info: all in one app, no laptop balanced on a tailgate.
Bright sun. Dark crawlspace.
Light and dark themes built for sunlit driveways and dim utility rooms. Readable wherever the next photo takes you.
Works offline. Syncs when you’re back.
Capture photos, voice notes, and findings with no signal. KamuSpec syncs everything when you’re back in service.
Built-in capture tools, made for inspectors.
Eight camera modes for the kinds of evidence inspectors actually capture. Here are four of them up close. Every shot lands in the right TREC section, and new modes ship every release.

Quick reference shots
Capture supplemental photos when you just need the picture. They attach to the section without writing a draft, perfect for context shots and visual reminders.

The mode you’ll live in
Point KamuSpec at anything during the inspection. It figures out which TREC section the photo belongs in, then drafts the finding before you take the next step.

Capture the first temperature.
Use DELTA-T anywhere a temperature difference matters — it measures the gap between two points, not a single-point reading. Aim at your FLIR camera or IR thermometer display; KamuSpec reads the value straight off the photo and auto-tags it to the right TREC section.
Also works on
Shown: an oven calibration check. The mode works the same way on every example above.

Capture the matching setpoint or expected value.
Snap the second point you’re measuring against: the appliance setpoint, the thermostat, the return air, the water-heater control — you decide. KamuSpec pairs it with the first reading and the Delta-T writes itself.

KamuSpec writes the finding.
With both points tagged, KamuSpec computes the Delta-T and drafts the finding. The example below is an oven calibration, measured against that appliance’s own tolerance. On an AC supply/return split it documents the difference and the TREC range the reading falls in — a measurement of what the air is doing, never a judgement on whether the equipment is adequate or correctly sized. You stay the author.

The primary oven was tested at a setting of 350°F and showed an actual reading of 316.2°F. This represents a variance of 33.8°F, which exceeds the 25°F industry calibration tolerance. Further evaluation by a qualified appliance technician is recommended.

Scan any equipment nameplate.
Use Data Plate mode on any nameplate or label that carries model and serial info. Center it in the bracket and KamuSpec captures the photo and auto-tags it to the right TREC section.
Also works on
Shown: a service-panel data plate. The mode works the same way on every system and appliance listed above.

Model, serial, and the spec stack lifted automatically.
KamuSpec reads whatever the nameplate carries (brand, model, serial, voltage, energy source, capacity, year) and drops it straight into the report. No typing.

Active recall check before you finish typing.
KamuSpec checks the model and serial against the CPSC recall database for any covered product. A clean check stamps a green badge on the finding; a hit flags it for review before the report leaves your phone.

More on the way
Moisture meter, voice memo, and live AR overlays are next on the roadmap. Founders see new modes first, and help shape what we build.
Built alongside Houston inspectors.
KamuSpec was built alongside a working Houston inspection company. We refined it in attics, crawlspaces, and driveways. Every feature has to work on a real inspection day before it ships.
