How does the free trial work?
Every new account gets 2 free TREC reports with no credit card required and no time limit. The free reports include the same Forensic AI Analysis you get on a paid plan but ship with a "SAMPLE — KAMUSPEC" watermark on every page. Subscribe any time to unlock un-watermarked reports.
Do unused reports roll over?
Yes, on Solo Pro, Team, and Founding Inspector. Unused reports roll forward and stay valid for 90 days from the date they were granted, as long as you keep an active subscription. If you cancel, rollover credits expire at the end of your billing period (use them or lose them). Weekend Warrior reports do not roll over.
How do "Free Trainee" seats work?
Trainees can use the app to capture data, photos, and notes in the field for free. They cannot finalize or issue a report, which will require a valid active TREC license. The issued report will count against the Team's quota. A licensed member of your team will be able to review, finalize, and submit the report from the field or office.
What happens if I go over my report limit?
We never lock you out while you're on-site. Each plan has an overage rate for reports beyond your monthly allowance (Weekend Warrior $7, Solo Pro $6, Team $5 per report). You can also pre-buy report packs — a Single Report Pack ($7) or a 5-Pack ($25) — that never expire and stack on top of your subscription. For growing firms on Team, adding another paid seat ($159/seat/mo, or $129 on annual) brings 40 more reports into the shared pool.

Single Report Pack is $7 for 1 additional report. The 5-Pack is $25 for 5 reports. That's $5/report, a 28% discount vs buying singles. Pack reports never expire and survive cancellation, so they're a permanent safety net. Available to all users, including free-trial accounts (and pack reports never carry the watermark).
Can I change my plan?
Yes. You can upgrade your tier any time through the Portal at portal.kamuspec.com. The change applies immediately and we prorate the difference. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period so you keep what you paid for. We are built to support your business, whether it's peak season or a quiet winter.
What is the Founding Inspector rate?
A $99/mo rate locked for life, billed $1,188 annually up front per inspector seat. Reserved for the first 50 inspector seats. Bring your whole firm and lock in the rate for everyone. A 3-person firm consumes 3 of the 50 seats. Your rate never increases, regardless of any future price changes, as long as you stay subscribed. Reports pool across all seats with 90-day rollover.
How many inspectors do I need for a Team plan?
Team plans start at 2 inspector seats. Perfect for partnerships and small firms. There's no upper limit; you pay $129/seat/mo (annual) or $159/seat/mo (monthly) and add inspector seats as you grow. Back-office seats (Admin, Coordinator, Trainee) are free and don't use your paid inspector seats. You get more of them as your team grows (see the table above).
What if an inspector leaves my team?
Seats belong to your firm, not to individuals. If an inspector leaves, you reassign their paid seat to the new hire with no loss of credits or coverage. Your seat count and billing don't change.
The first 50 inspectors lock in their rate for life.
After all 50 founder slots are claimed, this rate is gone.
